My Life Journey

Driven by an insatiable curiosity, I find wonder through multiple lenses: chasing the perfect light with my camera, speaking the patient languages of crochet and molecular biology, and advocating for animal welfare with science and compassion. From the quiet discipline of Chopin to the humble lessons of a school garden, I believe in the power of hands-on creation and the stories that connect us all. This portfolio is a map of my passions—welcome to the journey.
From Protocols to Precision

Summer in a White Coat

In the molecular biology lab, I moved beyond theory to master precise techniques like Western blotting and cell culture. This hands-on immersion taught me that patience and rigor are the true bedrock of discovery, confirming my passion for turning scientific inquiry into tangible results.
'FOCUS ON' world

Life in Lens

For the past six years, my camera has been my passport to discovery. For six years, I've passionately pursued photography, teaching myself everything from devouring online tutorials to exchanging ideas with fellow photographers. My trusty Olympus EM5 II has accompanied me on countless hikes—I've scaled over 10 peaks in Jinan alone, chasing the perfect sunrise or sunset more than 15 times. My lens finds wonder in both grand landscapes and tiny worlds, from the intricate details of insects to the storytelling geometry of cityscapes at night. This passion also fuels my role as a documentarian, capturing over 500 shots per event for school and volunteer activities, with my work frequently featured in official publications.
'Seeds' of passion

The Earth's Quiet Maggic

My first love was a 10-square-meter plot of earth behind my middle school. While my classmates saw only weekend chores, I heard the soil’s quiet invitation—a call that took me back to my grandmother’s garden. While others left, I stayed, my hands in the dirt, my heart full of wonder. That small rectangle became my entire world. I nurtured it through seasons: the bold red of cherry tomatoes, the delicate climb of cucumber vines, and the stubborn promise of potatoes hidden beneath the surface. I wasn't just growing plants; I was learning a silent, patient language. To me, the rich scent of wet soil and the quiet daily progress were not tasks, but a form of magic. This deep, personal connection to the land is a quiet passion that has rooted itself deeply in who I am.
Wherever needed, that's me.

Where Tails Find Home

With a camera in hand and a heart for every paw, I've found my calling at city-wide adoption drives. I'm the versatile force behind the scenes—setting up, managing music, and, most importantly, capturing the moment a rescued pet meets a future family. I dash across the venue, ensuring no wagging tail goes unnoticed. Why? Because I believe a single photo can seal a bond; no one should leave disappointed after hoping to find their dog's picture. This drive to connect has helped over 80 animals find homes each year, turning chaotic events into stories of hope and new beginnings.

TNR Practice in Life

My commitment to animal welfare extends beyond adoption events into the methodical work of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Grounded in hundreds of hours of specialized training, I have actively implemented these practices across multiple communities. To date, I have personally managed the TNR process for over a dozen community cats. My most successful week involved humanely trapping three cats; one was later adopted into a loving home, while the others were safely returned to their managed colony. This hands-on work is crucial for creating sustainable, humane solutions for urban animal populations.

Dancing Crochet Hook

My hands find their rhythm not in scrolling, but in creating. With a hook and yarn, I slip into a state of flow—each ‘double crochet’ and ‘popcorn stitch’ is a mindful meditation, a quiet counterpoint to a busy world. Time stretches and collapses as a 1.7-meter blanket grows, one slow, perfect circle at a time. This love for tactile art extends to the deep indigo vats of shibori, where I fold and bind fabric, always chasing colors that echo the resilience of nature itself. patience, beauty, and calm. I brought to life a pillow inspired by a video game character or a bag accidentally patterned like a feather. This hands-on magic—turning simple materials into tangible beauty—is where my imagination truly comes to life.
bringing a miniature universe to life

Mute Key

In the heart of silence, my greatest adventures unfold. Spread on the floor with schematics and tiny wooden pieces, I enter a state of deep focus where the world fades away. I've built singing bird automatons, a celestial globe that spins on its own, and a mechanical deer crafted from steel plates—each piece a meditation. The subtle scent of paper and wood chips is my incense. This is more than a hobby; it's my sacred ritual of creation, a silent dialogue between my hands and a universe of infinite possibilities, where patience alone brings intricate worlds to life.
Diary with Dear Sugar Glidders

A Heart to Heart Connection

During the lonely days of the pandemic, my life was brightened by the arrival of Huzhizhi, a wide-eyed sugar glider. Our bond was built on daily rides to see her, long before she was fully weaned, fueled by a desperate desire for companionship. Soon, Huluoluo joined our family, ensuring Huzhizhi would never be alone. The responsibility is profound—from battling parasitic infections with meticulous care to preparing their special meals, I embraced every chore without complaint. The greatest reward is the quiet trust they show: Huzhizhi lying on my chest, begging for belly rubs with joyful clicks, and Huluoluo’s incredibly soft, pudgy warmth in my hands. They taught me that true care is found in both the demanding tasks and the silent, perfect moments of connection.
